Chinese zodiac: Astrologer shares ‘luckiest day’ in September for every animal sign
According to Chinese astrology, 2024 is the Year of the Wood Dragon, beginning on February 10 (Chinese New Year) and ending on January 28, 2025.
The Dragon is one of 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac and the only mythical creature among 11 signs based on real species.
Though known to embody strength and good fortune like no other sign, the Dragon isn’t the only lucky symbol. Astrologer and Tarot reader Valeria Black suggests that each of the 12 animal signs will come into their luck this month.
Sharing her astrological insights with Your Tango, Valeria revealed the “luckiest day of the month” for each of the 12 zodiac signs.
She explained that the I Ching hexagram of luck this month is Water over Thunder, and “reminds us not to throw in the towel if problems arise right out of the gate”.

Every Chinese zodiac sign’s luckiest day of the month is here for September 2024
Tiger
People born in the Year of the Tiger (1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022) will feel their luckiest day on September 2 by focusing on how to add beauty, goodness, and light to their life and that of others through them. Valeria said: “Your luck will be stronger when you express this side of your personality with inner conviction and authenticity”.
Rat
The astrologer urged those born in the Year of the Rat (1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, and 2020), to let go of what no longer serves them and focus on new opportunities. Valeria warned that luck won’t “reveal itself” right away on September 19, but rather in pieces as the new journey continues.
Ox
Those born in the year of the Ox (1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021) will have “beautiful” luck this month. Valeria said that flowers will be “extremely lucky” in September and luck will surface in hidden blessings on September 21.
Rabbit
Luck this month is all about those born in the Year of the Rabbit (1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023) leaning into their inner strengths and not second-guessing themselves. The astrologer said that doing this will allow luck to blossom on September 3.
The Year of the Dragon is renowned for being particularly lucky in the Chinese zodiac
Dragon
Valeria urged: “Dragon, your luck this month has a tenuous quality to it. If you can harness your strengths and not allow negative self-talk or others’ negative comments to get to you, you will discover your luck.” Those born in the Year of the Dragon (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024) may also discover luck when interacting with animals playfully and lovingly – they could alert them to potential problems on their luckiest day, September 7.
Snake
According to the astrologer, those born in the year of the Snake (1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013) will get to choose much luck they want in their life. She warned them to “seek luck only in moderation”, noting that the luckiest day will be September 8.
Horse
On September 28, those born in the year of the Horse (1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014) will discover “really strong” luck, and throughout the month. Valeria said: “Our efforts will receive recognition and obstacles will be removed from your path more easily this month”. She noted that the colour red is a symbol of good fortune, particularly when worn.
Goat
People born in the year of the Goat, (1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015) will see luck stem from their creativity this month, especially on September 29. The astrologer said: “You are also encouraged to eat more leafy greens this month. It may sound odd, but a connection to the earth through your physical body will positively impact your luck, too.”
Monkey
Set for their luckiest day on September 15, people born in the year of the Monkey (1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016) will feel “super strong” fortune. Valeria suggested that the colours blue and green would be lucky, especially in foods, but she warned the zodiac sign to “remain balanced within”.
Rooster
Roosters (born in 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017) will have “mischievous” luck this month. According to Valeria, their luckiest day will occur on September 17, with yellow foods thought to strengthen this fortune. She said: “When you tap into your cheeky side, you will unlock this luck.”
Dog
The Tarot reader urged those born in the year of the Dog (1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018) to remain patient and calm and allow everything to unfold exactly as it should. The luckiest day for this zodiac will be September 23, but unlike the other Chinese zodiac signs, they won’t have anything to boost fortune this month.
Pig
Valeria said: “Pig, your luck this month has a two-sided quality to it, almost like a coin. Sometimes you will find heads and other times tails. Yet both are part of the same coin and are part of your luck. So don’t underestimate the power of either side.” People born in the following Pig years (1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019), will find gold – the colour and metal extremely lucky in September, especially on the 29th.
