Aldi’s launches new quirky baubles range – inspired by middle aisle favourites

Aldi has unveiled a new collection of high-end baubles, inspired by the most eccentric items found in its middle aisle. The set of baubles are modelled after the supermarket’s top-selling products from both in-store and online.

Included in the pack is a miniature version of the famous inflatable hot tubs that Aldi sells during the summer, along with an ornate chainsaw, heated airer and pressure washer.

The baubles are crafted from 3D-printed resin and finished with a handmade touch. And now, Aldi enthusiasts can hang an air fryer from their Christmas tree if they wish.

The popular cooking appliance has become a customer favourite, selling out in two days and shifting 70,000 units.

A spokesperson for the retail behemoth proclaimed: “We know our Specialbuy items are the talk of the town, so we thought why not add a little festive cheer to celebrate our weird and wonderful items from Aldi’s middle aisle?”

“From hot tubs to air fryers, these are the must haves on your tree this year.”

According to a supermarket poll, three-quarters of shoppers have left the store with a Specialbuy item, even though they only intended to do a regular shop.

Nine out of 10 shoppers visit the middle aisle during their weekly shop, regardless of whether they plan to buy anything from it.

A keen two-thirds look forward to visiting the middle aisle when they shop – to see if they can grab a bargain. Some 84% have visited the store just to see what’s on offer in the specialbuy section.
