Brian May posts video of his epic duet with Andrea Bocelli performing Queen song | Music | Entertainment

Back in July, Sir Brian May spent his 77th birthday in Tuscany performing a set with Andrea Bocelli, at the third and final of his consecutive 30th anniversary concerts.

In addition to being surprised with a birthday cake and the Italian maestro singing Happy Birthday to him live on stage, the pair performed a duet together.

The Queen guitarist posted a clip from the concert film on Instagram and captioned it: “One of my most unforgettable moments of 2024 – with the magnificence of Andrea Bocelli in beautiful Tuscany.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS !!! May all your surprises be good ones ! Bri.”

Fans can see Andrea and Sir Brian performing the 1986 Queen power ballad Who Wants to Live Forever in the footage.

Penned by the guitar legend for the soundtrack of the Hollywood movie Highlander, it features on Queen’s A Kind of Magic album before being included on their second compilation album, Greatest Hits II.

Seal also famously performed the track at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert five months after the singer’s untimely death.
