There’s nothing like a plate of fajitas.
Spicy, sweet and packed with flavour – they’re the perfect weekend foodie treat. But how you make them could be about to change forever.
That’s because TikTok’s thisisplanetfood has revealed how to make them all in one tray to avoid a lot of mess and washing up. The clip, which has been liked more than 17,000 times, shows how to put together some “grab and go” wraps, and they look totally amazing.
As National Fajita Day takes place today (August 18) it seems the perfect time to share the savvy recipe, and this meal can be pulled off with minimum effort. All you need to do is add peppers, onions and chicken to a tray before tossing them in the spice mix and olive oil.
Bake the mixture for 20 minutes before topping with cheese and tortillas, and then bake again for five minutes. From here you can use the tortillas to “grab and go” the fajitas, which means you don’t even need a knife and fork.
To pull of the recipe, you’ll need:
- Two chicken breasts, cut into strips
- One sliced white onion
- One sliced red onion
- One green pepper
- One red pepper
- Olive oil
- Fajita seasoning mix
- Tortillas
- Cheese
- Any dips and sauces you want, such as sour cream and salsa
When baking your fajitas, cook them for 20 minutes at 180°C.

Another wrote: “Beautiful – that’s my tea.” A third replied: “Looks good.”
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “Gonna cook this right now.”
Others also shared their own ways for making the tasty dish, with some saying they prefer to cook the chicken first. Another also noted they like to heat their tortillas up in the grill before adding some butter to them.
